Configure your antivirus software to exclude Outlook files or processes from real-time scans to avoid interference. The AppData folder hosts a lot of files, including bookmarks and cached pages. This might be slowing down or overriding other commands in Outlook.

Check the status bar at the bottom of the screen to see if another process is steps to fix Outlook not opening running. Although it's not possible at the moment to turn the feature off entirely, you can choose to remove it from your favorites list by right clicking the folder and selecting Remove from Favorites.
